Kind words from families:

The View
written by Carol Stockwell

The news is out!
There's a new place in town.
It's for hard working folks
Who want to slow down.

They've had their careers
They've reached for the gold.
Now they need a safe place
Where they think they'll grow old.

But what they have found
Instead of going 'round the bend
They've got a really nice place
And they meet lots of friends.

They are part of The View
Yet they have their own space.
They bring special possessions
To keep in their place.

Some look out on the city
The country appears for a few.
Some like to watch trains
Every place has a view.

Yes, it's true, the fortunate few
Are having more fun, since they moved to The View.

It isn't as lonely
A friend is living so near
And on Friday nights
The pub even serves beer.

They can work if they want
Clean house or bake bread
If they go to the dining room
Someone will serve them instead.

Some enjoy playing cards
And other games too.
And they visit much more
Since they moved to The View.

They can wander all day
Take their car for a drive
Or read a good book
And stay comfy inside.

Their kids can come visit
Or they can travel and roam
But The View will be waiting
When they want to come home.

Yes, it's true, the fortunate few
Are having more fun, since they moved to The View.

Most have seen some hard times
Maybe did with much less
But with lots of hard work
Overcame hardship and stress.

They have a strong faith
That has seen them through
They know how to show thanks
In the kindness they do.

They have aches and some pains
Or have lost someone dear
But the lost would be happy
To see them live here.

'Salt of the Earth' folks
Who have sprung from the prairie
Dakota blood in their veins
Love of country they carry.

Their reward will come later
For now they're all set
Heaven awaits them
But they don't want to go yet!

Yes, it's true, the fortunate few
Are having more fun, since they moved to The View.

"We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with The View. It is so comforting to know that Mom is in a safe, beautiful and caring environment. It will be fun to come back and visit when we don't have to work so hard moving her in!"
-Janet Peterson

"I would like to say thank you to everyone that works at The View. For all of the 'little' things you have done for my mom since she has moved in here and especially now that Dad has gone onto a better place. I know that you all take such good care of her. You're right, 'life starts here' at The View."
-Toni Badinger
